Our friendly local staff appreciate the value of high standards of guest service. It is not uncommon to have our cherished guests greeted each day with name, and remembered even after visiting Toko's more than a year later.

Meet Some of Them

Guenther Sanin (Toko’s Management Team – Executive Chef)
From the alps to the seashores. Caused by an acute mountain air allergy Guenther was forced to set up his camp at sealevel.

Convinced by intense bar talks with Schorsch Bender and the highend quality of his favorite drink Radler (a high-voltage gurgle blaster), he became a team member in May 2006.

Danilo Gutierrez Bueno Jr. (Barkeeper, Puerto Galera)
Danilo, aka Ton-Ton, is truly an Atlantis Puerto Galera icon. Typically filipino, he is always willing to please all with his humble attitude and friendly nature. Ton-Ton works in Toko's 50bar, our relaxed drinking venue down on Sabang Beach.

He takes pride in his bar and ensures the MP3 volume is up and has music for all occasions, the beer is flowing and shooters are lined up ready whenever the infamous bar bell is rung. It is not uncommon for Ton-Ton to work his crowd into a frenzy of cheers and singing during the night.

Joevit Maniebo Abdon (Chef De Partie, Puerto Galera)
Joevit is one of our young up-and-coming chefs who has developed his skills quickly since opening up Toko's Kitchen in Puerto Galera. Employed as a kitchen hand when opening the restaurant, he has moved up through the kitchen to chef de partie: Controling the breakfast and lunch service from the kitchen.

He's a quiet achiever with a friendly attitude and will do his best to do what he can to make guests happy and keep his section of the kitchen up to Atlantis Standards.
